Who is Val Martens of Joyful Face Painting?
I live in West Edmonton and am a homeschooling mom to three wonderful kids. I am married to a
wonderful man who is an elementary school teacher. My background art experience is in tole
painting, teaching art to children and many different arts and crafts. I previously worked with my
husband designing and selling beautiful doll houses. I discovered the joy and fun of face painting
and have not turned back since! My desire is to create beauty and fun in the faces of children and
adults, showing each the unique beauty they already have and creating fun characters for them to
enjoy for the day.
Who Val Martens Works With:
I work with wonderful helpers who have been trained in face painting and are ready to help make
the event a success. My top helpers include my children, especially my twins, daughter Deidre,
and son Ian. My oldest son Alex also helps where able.
We want to make your special event a memorable one! Let us join you and create art that will
“WOW” your guests. Just a reminder, all paint is FDA approved for use on the skin and intended
for use on kids. We follow Capital Health Region health regulations for face painting.
